During the project, I have learned a lot of information on mental illnesses. Starting off with our depression quizzes, we learned that the average score of our class was a 9, which represented a state of moderate depression. This states that many people in our class would feel down and tired on a couple of days. In general, all types mental illnesses mess up the minds of many people; they can cause hallucinations, addictions to drugs and alcohol, the inability to do things, and much more. For example, I found an article about a person who suffers from OCD, and she would count many things inside her head, such as her steps, how many times she enters her bathroom, and the number of times she opens and closes the lights. Since focusing our video on depression, I have learned a lot about clinical depression. It is a very severe form of depression, which is also known as major depression or major depressive disorder. It causes the same symptoms as other types of depression but in more serious manners that can be very noticeable by other people. During the project, I learned that I was a very passive but focused learner. I would listen to what my other group members would say and want me to do, and I would do it for them. I don’t have lots of ideas myself, but I work hard on making them come to reality. Overall, I think that our group did a great job making and presenting our final PBL product.
